Effective August 20, 2026
Crown Ball is an Apple Watch game by Gonzy Designs. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. This page describes the small amount of data the game needs to work.
The app creates a random player ID on first launch and stores it on your device together with your chosen player name, avatar, equipped cosmetic items, and local scores. These are mirrored through Apple's iCloud key-value storage tied to your own iCloud account, so your profile follows you to a new watch. We cannot access your iCloud account.
To provide online multiplayer and the leaderboard, our server (gonzy.fun) stores a profile keyed to that random player ID: your chosen display name, avatar (an emoji and a color), equipped cosmetics, match results (wins, losses, games played), a skill rating, your current win streak, and any achievement unlocks. This profile is not linked to your identity — we never receive your real name, email address, Apple ID, contacts, precise location, or health data.
During a match, your opponent sees your display name, avatar, and cosmetics. The public leaderboard shows top players' display names, avatars, and win records under an anonymized ID. Choose a display name accordingly.
Real-time match data (paddle and ball positions) is processed in server memory only and is discarded when the match ends. It is not stored.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. Ownership of purchased items is tied to your Apple Account and restores automatically on new devices.
Like most web services, our server keeps routine technical logs (which include IP addresses) for operations and security. These logs are not linked to game profiles and are not used for tracking or profiling.
Crown Ball is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The only user-provided data is a self-chosen display name and avatar.
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your watch. To delete your server profile (name, avatar, match record), email us your in-game player name and we will remove it.
If the game's data handling changes, this page will be updated before or alongside the change.
